Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. John 15:13-14
My sins were all I lived for,
Bound to hell for eternity,
I rejected every message,
While you silently waited for me.
The pain without You grew greater,
My desire for sin grew strong,
Never giving up on me,
You loved me all along.
Filthy in all my transgressions,
Serving my master, sin,
Still You sent Him to tell me,
Will you let me in?
How can I come to you filthy?
Wretched and vile as can be?
Never truly understanding,
I could have new life in Thee!
Free from the sins that enslaved me,
Sins that I loved more than You,
Can this really be possible?
Forgiven, cleansed and made new?
My sins, all at once, were before me,
It was You I sinned against all along,
I went down on my knees, non stop crying,
I wanted to hurt You no more.
Suddenly my eyes were opened!
Your blood cleansed this once sinner, from all sin,
Gave me power to overcome them,
And to become miraculously born again!
My desire now is to please You,
My strength, is from You living in me,
I can obey all that You command me,
Loving You gives me true victory!
Free indeed from the darkness,
Free from the desire to sin,
Power to now walk and live holy,
Saved by the blood of the Lamb!
Now my home is in heaven,
As I abide on the One true Vine,
No longer a hell bound sinner,
Jesus Christ is eternally mine!
I Love the Holy Lamb of God
