What We Believe

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21).

We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John 1:1-2, 14, John 10:30).

We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:34-35); His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His sacrificial and atoning death (Hebrews 10:10, 10:12, Romans 3:25, 1st John 2:2); His resurrection (John 11:25, 1 Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); His personal return to earth in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11-16).

We believe in the necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation, when the Holy Spirit comes and convicts a man of his sins, and justified by the grace and mercy of God through the atonement of Jesus Christ upon the decision to repent and believe the Gospel, receiving Jesus Christ and being born again. (John 1:12, 3:1-8, 5:24, 11:26, Romans 3:23, 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Mark, 1:15, Luke 13:1-5, Acts 3:19, Titus 3:5).

We believe in the resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked; those who are righteous unto the resurrection of life, and those who are wicked unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29).

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers; those that have put on Christ. (Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28).

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling the Christian is encouraged and enlightened as to how to live a godly, holy life. (John 14:26, 16:13, Romans 8:13-14, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30, 5:18).

We believe that we as Christians are examples of the love of God in this world. It is this (agape) love that we desire to possess and without which we have no right to call ourselves Christians (1 John 4:16-17, Matthew 22:36-40).

We believe in the commandment to live holy lives as Christians, not for salvation, but because salvation has come. We believe without holiness no man shall see the Lord. (Hebrews 12:14, 1 Peter 1:16, 2 Corinthians 7:1, Luke 7:36-50)

We believe it is the mandate of the whole Church to go into the whole world and to preach the Gospel to every living creature. (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19-20)
